Invitation and Integration - Golden Grove

Life hands you what you need. Even if it defies logic.

I didn't plan to be here. Not exactly.

I didn't know where or how, but I wanted to connect with this land after years of travel. I wanted to feel nourished by nature and community. Conscious life and business, a tribe who get it and a space to grow that in.

The serendipity and profound gut ‘yes’ arrived unexpectedly and I found myself at Golden Grove at the equinox, that hinge point in the year where the light tips and something shifts.

I set the intention of what I wanted, and got to work, speaking it and making the moves to weave it into my reality.

And from the moment I landed, the synchronicities started stacking up in a way I couldn’t ignore. The kind of signs that make you stop second-guessing because it was already a done deal in the aether.

I was invited here as me. Not a version of me with a job title bolted on, just me, with everything I've carried through twenty years of travelling the world, studying, mentoring and living a yoga lifestyle. What's unfolding here is built on exactly that - two women meeting at the right moment and recognising something worth building together. None of this was planned, and I feel very blessed to have been brought here. It's an absolute gift.

I love working with women like Lou, she started the Golden Grove Retreat with a barn and a vision. She's poured her heart and soul into this land alongside her partner Rob, and what she's created is genuinely special: a place where you can slow down, eat proper home-cooked whole food, sink into the hot tub and sauna, book a treatment, move through a yoga class, and actually hear yourself think again.

When I first arrived, Lou was teaching a yoga class, so I rolled out a mat and joined her, drifted into a yoga nidra, wrapped in a silk hammock in the yoga shala, looking out over views that made letting go feel easy. Honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better welcome to the place or to the woman behind it.

I was so inspired by everything Lou has done here to grow her vision, a woman who knows about life. She's hugely experienced, well travelled, a beautiful yoga teacher, and she holds space in a way that lets people properly drop in. From the start I've felt seen by her and met as an equal. That's rarer than it should be, and the vibe we want to create community with.

Golden Grove is a sustainable, eco-friendly site, and that care runs through everything. There's a rewilding project under way and a deep respect for working with the land - the native plants, the seasonal herbs and vegetables, the rhythm of the year. Every meal is homestead catering, made right here by Kingolas Kitchen (Kombucha too!).

It's traditional, rural and rustic, and I mean that in the best possible way. Compost loos, minimal waste, a conscious lifestyle retreat where you feel at one with nature and part of it, the simplicity is the point. It also has the luxury of sauna, plunge, hot tub, ceremony/studio/temple space and treatment rooms - we know what you need.

When Lou and I got talking, it was clear pretty quickly that our ideas wanted to grow in the same direction. Two female business owners, both excited about what this place could offer other entrepreneurs. That's where the retreats come in.

I have years of experience running a retreat centre and running retreats. These days I run retreats for solo business owners and entrepreneurs, so they can pull back from the daily grind and get really strategic about what they want and where they want to go, connecting to nature in a tranquil environment. My work is mindset and business coaching for entrepreneurs and business owners, and alongside the retreats I offer co-working and coaching.

Then there's integration, which is the part that so often gets overlooked. A retreat or ceremony can shift something big, but the real question is what happens when you get home. How does that insight look on a Tuesday morning, with the inbox filling up and life carrying on as normal? That's where the work really starts, and it's where I support you, with accountability calls and business mentoring to help you bring what you've discovered, and what matters, into your everyday world, so it shapes how you live and work long after you've left.

Because here's what I keep seeing: business owners who are brilliant at what they do and completely rinsed from doing it. The retreats we're building are a time to connect with the land, with yourself, and with each other. Co-working when you want to get your head down. Spa style days when you need to properly switch off. Coaching when you're ready to work out what's next. And good food and good company running through all of it.

What's surprised me most is what happens when you put people like this in a room together. I've watched business owners meet, spark off each other, and leave with real next steps they didn't walk in with.

So this is both and introduction and an invitation. If you're a biz owner, solo founder, entrepreneur who's been running on reserves, or you just know it's time to reconnect with why you started, come and spend some time with us at Golden Grove.

Grow alongside people who get it. Build something, including yourself.

Come and see what wants to happen when you give it the space.

It doesn’t need a big plan, it simply needs your presence.
